The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Neuroanesthesiology, is seeking Neuroanesthesia-trained anesthesiologists to join our esteemed team in Gainesville, FL – a sunny, dynamic, and family-friendly city.
The Opportunity
- Join a dynamic and growing academic neuroanesthesia division with a fellowship program.
- Collaborate closely with neuromedicine and neurosurgical specialists in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
- The Neuroanesthesia Division:
- Staffs 9 specialized operating rooms designed for neurosurgical and orthopedic spine procedures, located in a state-of-the-art hospital tower dedicated to heart, neuro, and vascular care, which opened in 2018 which includes:
- Two hybrid endovascular suites.
- Rooms equipped with intraoperative MRI capabilities.
- Provides care to approximately 5,000 patients annually, encompassing a diverse range of procedures.
- Staffs 9 specialized operating rooms designed for neurosurgical and orthopedic spine procedures, located in a state-of-the-art hospital tower dedicated to heart, neuro, and vascular care, which opened in 2018 which includes:

- Engage in clinical and research efforts focused on advancing patient outcomes and the field of neuroanesthesiology spanning various aspects of brain and spinal cord care.
Minimum Requirements:
- M.D./D.O. or equivalent
- Neuroanesthesia experience
- Skills in clinical care, research, and/or education
- ABA certification/eligibility
- Credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong clinical skills
- Dedication to patient care
- Neuromonitoring (preferred - willing to train once hired)
- Passion for advancing the field of anesthesiology through research and scholarly activities
